Sunday 26th of September 2019, 7pm at Siidrifarm, Virla village, Harjumaa

A small party sets a big table

Thousands of families in Estonia are on the verge of poverty, struggling to afford nutritious food. Meanwhile, as shown by the research conducted by the Stockholm Environment Institute Tallinn Centre, approximately twelve tons of food remain unsold at grocery stores across Estonia every year.

Estonian Food Bank was founded to fight poverty and provide food aid to people in need, helping them during the most difficult period of their lives. Estonian Food Bank delivers food to those that need it, 2/3 of whom are children.

To support the efforts of Estonian Food Bank, for the third consecutive year, we are organizing a charity dinner “Feed the Children”. This year’s aim is to collect thirty thousand euros that will be used to support the Food Banks in the southern part of Estonia. The focus falls upon the Food Banks of Tartu, Valga, Põlva and Võru - in these regions, around 9000 children are living in relative poverty, who may not be able to receive daily food.

The top Estonian restaurants participating at the charity dinner on 26th September are: Leib, NCH (NOA Chef’s Hall), Angelica Udeküll, Joel Ostrat and Meat Market all of whom are contributing to the mission of the Food Bank. Entertainment and performances will be in the capable hands of DJ Heidi Purga, Trad Attack and Jarek Kasar. There will also be a charity art auction taking place during the dinner. The hosts for the evening will be Heleri Rande and Aivar Kuusk.

What makes this event special is that every single aspect comes in the form of donations and volunteers – everything from preparation time to food to entertainment are 100% acts of kindness, showing a great sense of community and a unified wish to improve the lives of Estonian children.

I hereby kindly invite you to participate in the charity dinner to help the efforts of the Estonian Food Bank.

The ticket for the dinner costs 125 EUR and includes food, drinks and entertainment. Transportation from Tallinn and Tartu is arranged by Hansabuss and is included in the price. The VIP ticket costs 250 EUR, and includes Audi Transfer from Tallinn, meet and greet with TradAttack and seats at tables with the best views. All proceeds go directly to the Estonian Food Bank.
