Sunday 4th of November 2018, 5pm at Swissôtel Tallinn, Estonia

A small party sets a big table

Thousands of families in Estonia are on the verge of poverty, struggling to afford nutritious food. Meanwhile, as shown by the research conducted by the Stockholm Environment Institute Tallinn Centre, approximately twelve tons of food remain unsold at grocery stores across Estonia every year.

Estonian Food Bank was founded to fight poverty and provide food aid to people in need, helping them during the most difficult period of their lives. Estonian Food Bank delivers food to those that need it, 2/3 of whom are children.

To support the efforts of Estonian Food Bank, for the second consecutive year, we are organizing a charity dinner “Feed the Children”. This year’s aim is to collect thirty thousand euros that will be used to support the Food Banks in the eastern part of Estonia. The focus falls upon the Food Banks of Jõhvi, Narva, Jõgeva and Rakvere, where over ten thousand children are in need.

The top Estonian restaurants participating at the charity dinner on 4th November are: LeibÖMon Repos, Tsarskaja dumpling-maker from Narva and Chocokoo chocolate masters, all of whom are contributing to the mission of the Food Bank. Entertainment and performances will be in the capable hands of Tanja Mihhailova-Saar and DJ Sander Mölder. There will also be a charity art auction taking place during the dinner. The hosts for the evening are Heleri Rande and Aivar Kuusk.

What makes this event special is that every single aspect comes in the form of donations and volunteers – everything from preparation time to food to entertainment are 100% acts of kindness, showing a great sense of community and a unified wish to improve the lives of Estonian children.

I hereby kindly invite you to participate in the charity dinner to help the efforts of the Estonian Food Bank.

The ticket for the dinner costs 125 EUR and includes food, drinks and entertainment. The VIP ticket costs 250 EUR, and in addition to a welcome drink at the Champagne Bar, it includes seats at tables with the best views. All proceeds go directly to the Estonian Food Bank.
